Alameda County Computer Resource Center
ACCRC recycles anything that you can lug into a power outlet (everything except large appliances). They will attempt to fix your equipment and then give
it away to someone who is unable to afford to one. If they are unable to reuse your equipment, it will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
StopWaste.org is the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and the Alameda County Source Reduction and Recycling Board operating as one public agency. Businesses and institutions in Alameda County can team up with the StopWaste Partnership to participate in a free, award-winning program that provides expert support and funding to prevent waste, conserve energy and water, and use all resources more efficiently.
Ella Baker Center for Human Rights
The Ella Baker Center for Human Rights is a strategy and action center working for justice, opportunity and peace in urban America. Based in Oakland, California, they promote positive alternatives to violence and incarceration through their four cutting-edge campaigns: Books Not Bard, Green Collar Jobs, Heal The Streets, and Soul Of The City.
The Prevention Institute was founded in 1997 to address complex health and social issues. We move beyond approaches that target individuals, one person at a time, to create systematic, comprehensive strategies that change the conditions that impact community health.
